As state employees, we take pride in the work we do to make Nevada a great place to live. Yet, with chronic understaffing across all agencies, it is harder than ever to provide the quality services our communities need

A stable workforce means thriving communities - and a better Nevada.

We ask Nevada state leaders to support our AFSCME priorities to improve state services, staff retention and recruitment:

  • SB 440: 2% across the board raise and funding for already-approved 3% arbitration awards

  • AB 337: restoration of longevity pay that was cut in 2015

  • AB 378: more efficient calendar for collective bargaining

  • AB 376: half-pay for family emergency leave

  • SB 388: allows for negotiation of PERS contribution split between employer and employees
