AFSCME Bargaining Bulletin - November

  • On October 30, we, the AFSCME bargaining team, met with the State for our first bargaining session, with the goal to including Unit C into our current CBA.

  • The State seems unclear on how to incorporate Unit C into the current AFSCME contract, and unfortunately rejected our proposal to integrate Unit C into the current AFSCME CBA.

  • However, the State has an obligation to negotiate a contract with Unit C AFSCME members. And we will hold them to that obligation.

  • We head back to the bargaining table December 9 - 12, where we have agreed to negotiate a short-term contract for Unit C that ends at the same time as our current AFSCME contract (June 30, 2025.)

  • Additionally, we will start negotiations over our next CBA that will cover Units A, C, E, and F from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2027.
