AFSCME Local 4041 Supports Telework Options for Nevada State Employees

State employees carried Nevada through the pandemic – both through in-person services and through remote work. With more than 24% of state positions left unfilled, it would be in the state’s best interest to find opportunities, like flexible work options, that would bolster staff retention and recruitment. To be a competitive employer, the state must adapt to a changing workforce by allowing workers more discretion in how and where their work is accomplished.
As the largest union for state employees, we believe telework options are one way to improve working conditions through contract negotiations.
Many Local 4041 members have shared in bargaining surveys that expanding the telework policy is one of their top priorities in contract negotiations.
Our bargaining team will continue to make telework a priority, but we need your help! Click here to share your story on how telework has improved your quality of live and your ability to serve Nevada.
