Today, administrative assistants and clerical state employees filed for our Unit B union election!
Admin and clerical employees across Nevada have been busy for months talking to their coworkers and organizing their union. This hard work has brought them one step closer to joining AFSCME members in units A, C, E, and F to make lasting changes for state employees.
State employees in bargaining unit D (professional) and unit J (supervisors) are next!
Since winning collective bargaining rights in 2019, AFSCME members have secured wage increases of over 32%, 4 annual personal days, bilingual pay, a fairer grievance process, and much more.
The first step to getting a union contract is building solidarity in your bargaining unit. And the first step to building that solidarity is signing a conversion card, which shows your support, but you won’tpay dues until your bargaining unit is certified.
