We won’t take PEANUTS!

Your AFSCME bargaining team just wrapped up our 6th bargaining session for units A, C, E, F. Most of the changes to our union contract have been around updating and clarifying language. These updates will be shared when we have a tentative agreement, but they shouldn’t impact the intent of the contract language.

WATCH: BARGAINING UPDATE

As we expected, wages are a sticking point at all our bargaining sessions.

Like all Nevadans, we are facing an affordability crisis, and our wages are not keeping up. We’ve asked for wage increases that would address the ever-increasing cost of living we are currently seeing.

And the state’s response?

PEANUTS!

The state responded with a meager 1% increase. Which are peanuts compared to how much everything keeps going up.

The Governor recently said he supports billionaires, and we need to remind him he needs to support us – the ones who keep Nevada running. Join us to send a message to Governor Lombardo that we need a fighting chance to keep up with this economy.
