AFSCME Members, Youth Advocates Bring Attention to Impact of State Youth Psychiatric Facility Closure

“AFSCME members are speaking up because an injury to one worker is an injury to all of us as state employees. Governor Lombardo said that Nevadans should feel a little pain when it comes to the economy. We're here to tell you and the governor that Nevadans and state workers are feeling a lot of pain with this decision,” said Terra Carter, AFSCME Local 4041 member and state employee.

TAKE ACTION: GOVERNOR WE NEED REAL WAGE INCREASES

Our AFSCME Local 4041 bargaining team asked for wage increases that would address the ever-increasing cost of living we are currently seeing.

The state responded with a meager 1% increase. Which is peanuts compared to how much the prices of everything keep going up.

We’re not done fighting for the respect we deserve! The Governor recently said he supports billionaires, and we need to remind him he needs to support us – the ones who keep Nevada running. Join us to send a message to Governor Lombardo to give state workers a fighting chance to keep up with this economy.

Send a message to Gov Lombardo today!
